The will he / won’t he and where to drama that has been the career of Dusan Vlahovic appears to be settled as Juventus have reportedly had a 75 million euro bid accepted by Fiorentina. The move has been agreed in principle by Vlahovic himself and they are now moving into salary negotiations.
Things took a dark turn yesterday morning when some highly insulting and threatening graffiti was sprayed on a wall outside the Fiorentina training ground, warning the player that his time in Florence was over. It’s not clear how much impact, if any, this had on his decision to join Fiorentina’s most bitter rivals.
So what does this mean for Juve? In short, they have managed to bag one of Europe’s three most promising strikers for what appears to be a bargain price. Given that they have been sorely missing a reliable goal scorer since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, this could make them unstoppable.
Elsewhere in the calciomercato, Inter seem to have been working to build one of Europe’s most thrilling wide attacks, adding Atalanta’s German left back Robin Gosens to their existing right back Dutchman Denzel Dumfries. Gosens moves from Atalanta after refusing a transfer to Newcastle, despite their wage offer being far higher than Inter’s.
